Dark Blue

Mixing the archaic container of the inkwell with the modern language of a Print Designer. The plywood base is etched with the words “Dark Blue” to indicate the color that could be created when adding the percentages listed on the bottle. The viewer begins to wrap their head around the subtle mixing procedure and start to understand the complexity of color and the robust work print machines are doing, as well as how our eyes are working to perceive color.
